The hidden cost of tiered outplacement
Under most mainstream programmes, support is rationed by seniority. Senior leaders are typically offered six months of coaching. Less experienced staff might receive three. Everyone else is often given no coaching at all, only a login to a self service portal.
Every departing employee tells that story to somebody: a former colleague, a recruiter, a review site, a LinkedIn post. And every employee who stays watches how their departing colleagues were treated, then draws their own conclusion about what the organisation actually thinks people like them are worth.
Tiered outplacement does not just affect the people who leave. It sends a message to the people who remain, and that message tends to surface later, in engagement scores, in the retention of people you wanted to keep, and in how the organisation is spoken about long after the restructuring itself is forgotten.
Coach 1st removes that risk. Every participant, from apprentice to chief executive, receives the same coach, the same six months, and the same standard of support.
